How to Maintain Healthy Eyes

In modern day other than aging, a major problems to eye affliction is poor diet and a deficiency of vitamins and minerals. Just like the rest of our body, Eyes need to be nourished. Protection against sunlight is very important and Wearing sunglasses that protect your eyes while in direct sunlight eliminate eye damage.



Instructions

1.
Ensure that your eyes are not strained by long hours of intense work or inadequate lighting. Rest your eyes during work by taking a minuet or two to close your eyes and give them a rest.


2.
Protect your eyes against intense sunlight. Wear glasses or sun-glasses that protect against exposure to ultraviolet rays.
Always remove and correctly store contact lenses, before going to bed.
Visit your eye doctor to ensure your prescription is current.

3.
Nourish your eyes to prevent damage. A diet rich in Lutein which if not taken as a supplement, Can be found in Spinach, kale, broccoli and collard greens. Drink fresh carrot juice to ensure healthy eyes and Add to your diet sunflower seeds and watercress. Vitamin A is necessary for proper eye function and helps with night vision. Vitamin A can also be found in Eggs, salmon, milk, yogurt and cheddar cheese.
